Overview

What is a Carnival Squash?

  • This festive squash with its cream, orange and green coloring is small to medium-sized pumpkin shape with a sweet squash flavor and smooth, moist texture.

How to Eat

  • Halve and place cut side down in a cooking dish with 1/2 inch of water, cover and bake for 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees, or microwave halves in same amount of water covered for 12-17 minutes. Carnival is great stuffed with meat and vegetables and topped with cheese or served with a touch of butter and brown sugar.

How to Choose

  • Choose squash with hard shells that seem heavy for their size.

How to Store

  • Store uncut in a cool, dry area up to 3 months. Refrigerate cut squash up to 1 week.
