Japones Fresh Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

4-6 Frieda’s Dried Japones Chiles, rehydrated according to package directions (save liquid)
1-1/2 cup diced tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/8 -1/4 teaspoon salt
Cooked pasta

Steps

Discard stems and seeds from chiles; chop finely.  Add tomatoes, garlic, tomato paste, salt, minced chiles, and 2 tablespoons of the soaking liquid to a food processor or blender. Cover and pulse until well chopped. Let stand at least 1 hour to blend flavors. Add to hot pasta and toss. Serve immediately.
