What is a Yamabiko Hon shimeji Mushroom?
- This mushroom originated in Japan where it has become very popular and is considered to be the “new” gourmet mushroom. It has a robust flavor and delicate texture. Frieda’s started marketing this mushroom in the United States in 1987.
How to Eat
- Trim from the base and steam, stir-fry or sauté. Blanch for 2 minutes if using in salads.
