Bacon-Wrapped Dates


1 pound of Medjool Dates
1 pound sliced thin bacon


Split one side of Medjool date lengthwise and remove pit. Wrap half of a bacon strip around date and secure with toothpick. Place on a foil-line sheet pan. Bake in 350-degree oven for about 15 minutes, or until most of the bacon fat has rendered and begins to crisps up. Drain well before serving. You can also try stuffing the dates prior to wrapping with bacon. Try chopped nuts, cheeses or slivers of garlic.
