Classic Pine Nut-Basil Pesto


2 cups Frieda’s Fresh Basil leaves, packed
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan-Reggiano or Romano cheese
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup Frieda’s Pine Nuts
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt to taste


In a food processor, combine basil, Parmesan, oil, pine nuts and garlic and process until smooth. Season with salt to taste. Serve with pasta and fresh tomatoes, or spread on toasted baguette slices. Makes about 1 cup of sauce.
