Grilled Tuna & Starfruit Salad


1/2 cup light mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 pounds fresh tuna, swordfish, or salmon fillet (1-inch thick), cut into 4 pieces
2 starfruit, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch slices
8 cups torn mixed lettuce
1 cucumber, peeled if desired, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
3 green onions, sliced


In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, lime juice, mustard, dill, and paprika, then mix well. Chill until ready to use. Makes about 1/2 cup.

On lightly oiled grilling tray or broiler pan, arrange tuna or other fish. Place 1/4 cup of dressing insmall bowl. Brush over the fish. Grill or broil, uncovered, 5 minutes.

Turn fish, then arrange starfruit alongside it. Brush fish and starfruit lightly with dressing. Return to grill or broiler. Cook 3-6 minutes longer, until fish flakes easily with fork.

In large salad bowl, combine lettuce and cucumber. Add remaining dressing and toss to coat well. Divide salad evenly among 4 dinner plates. Place one piece of tuna on center of each salad. Arrange starfruit slices around each plate. Sprinkle with green onions.
