Homemade Vanilla Bean Coffee Syrup
Infuse your morning cup of Joe with natural vanilla flavor using this simple recipe for syrup that will keep in the fridge for a whole week. Better yet, stir some into your iced coffee for a refreshing treat!
1 cup water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1 Frieda’s vanilla bean
In small saucepan, combine water and both sugars. Split vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out seeds, then add seeds and bean pod to pan. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce to simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring intermittently. Let cool, then pour into clean bottle or jar. Discard bean pod, if desired. Keep syrup refrigerated up to 1 week.
