Kumquat Almond Sauce


2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons orange juice
10 Kumquats, thinly sliced
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Dash of ground nutmeg


In skillet, melt butter. Stir in orange juice, kumquats, and almonds. Sauté over medium heat 2 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and nutmeg until mixture is glazed, about 1 minute. Serve warm over or room temperature over ice cream, butter cake, or crepes.
