Meyer Lemon Drop Martini
2 ounce vodka
1 ounce fresh-squeezed Frieda’s Meyer Lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup*
Superfine sugar for garnish
Frieda’s Meyer Lemon slice for garnish
Run a wedge of Meyer lemon around the rim of a chilled martini glass. Dip the rim of the glass into a plate lined with superfine sugar. Set glass aside.
Pour the vodka, Meyer Lemon juice and simple syrup into a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into the sugar-rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a slice of Meyer lemon.
* Simple syrup or sugar syrup is easy to make ahead. In a medium saucepan combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool. Store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. (Can also be infused with citrus zest or fresh herbs during the cooling process.)
