Poached Fruit Compote


3/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon silvered orange peel
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 oranges, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
3 Frieda’s Feijoas, peeled, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
1 cup melon or peach chunks
1/2 cup seedless red grapes, halved
Fresh mint to garnish (optional)


In a medium saucepan, mix juices, water, orange peel and sugar. Bring to boil rapidly 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in oranges, feijoas, melon or peach chunks and grapes.

Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Serve garnished with fresh mint, if desired.
