Sugar Cube is a special small French Charentais melon variety. The Sugar Cube got its name from its high sugar content and is a “breakfast melon,” meaning it will never get larger than 2 pounds. Unlike other melons, the Sugar Cube holds its sugar level for up to 2 weeks after harvest. When ripe the netted skin will turn a cream color and the stem will crack and pull off easily.
