1 bag popjoys® kumquats
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 cup water
Start, by cutting out the seeds from the kumquat, to prevent a bitter sauce.
In a saucepan on medium heat, add kumquats, honey or maple, and water. Cook down until soft.
Using a fork or the end of a roller, smash down on some of the kumquats. This will make it deliciously saucy.
Spoon over rice and protein of choice, we served ours with tempeh that was tossed in coconut aminos.
