simply roasted boiler onions



  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

  • 2  8-ounce bags Frieda's Boiler Onions, peeled and trimmed

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 sprig thyme, optional

Cooking Steps

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    In cast-iron or ovenproof skillet on medium heat, heat butter and olive oil until butter is melted.

  3. 3

    Toss in Frieda's Boiler Onions to coat, and season to taste. Add thyme, if desired.

  4. 4

    Transfer skillet to oven and roast Boiler Onions, tossing occasionally, until caramelized and tender, about 20 minutes.
