Simply Roasted Cipolline
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 8-ounce bags Frieda’s Cipolline Onions, peeled and trimmed
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 sprig thyme, optional
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In cast-iron or ovenproof skillet on medium heat, heat butter and olive oil until butter is melted. Toss in onions to coat, and season to taste. Add thyme, if desired. Transfer skillet to oven and roast onions, tossing occasionally, until caramelized and tender, about 20 minutes.
